Meditation allows us to experience reality beyond our own discursive mind. Learn Shamata, Vipashyana, Tonglen and other practices in the Nyingma, Kagyu and Shambhala traditions. Participate in sessions led by certified instructors of Tibetan and Shambhala Buddhist meditation.
Deepen your meditation practice. You are encouraged to keep a journal for understanding your meditation and post-meditation experiences. Guided sessions in Wuji Gong (Emei Chan Buddhist Qigong) are also offered in separate practice sessions. This form of Qigong (Energy Cultivation) helps with healing oneself and others.
With the Pahoa Shambhala Meditation Group, we practice meditation every Wednesday from 4 to 6 pm at Dakini Gardens and Retreat. Beginners are welcome. Meditation instruction is included along with reading and group discussions.
Dzogchen class, "The Cycle of Day and Night" starts January 2010. Enrollment will close at the end of January. Until July 2010, Wednesday meditation sessions will be limited to Dzogchen participants.
